Guiomar Campbell came to Toronto in 1987 as a midwife and singer, following her dreams of pursuing a
career in the healing arts and music. She is a graduate of Nursing and Obstetrics at the University of Juiz de Fora,
Brazil and holds a diploma in Acupuncture and Shiatsu Therapy from Shiatsu School of Canada.
For several years, Guiomar has worked as a Shiatsu Therapy Instructor in the Diploma program and taught several workshops on self-shiatsu, stretching exercises and prenatal classes around Toronto, including Toronto Western Hospital and a number of private companies. Furthermore, she has completed courses in Thai massage and reiki.
Her natural approach to life and tremendous ability to connect with people has given her a great deal of insight and experience in working with individuals as well as groups. She has extensive experience treating patients with many conditions and disabilities including children, infants and developmentally disabled people. Guiomar has an extensive experience in treating women patients with cancer, fibroids, ovarian cysts, endometriosis, infertility and menopause.
Her treatment focuses on helping her clients to become aware of the body’s natural healing power, through balancing
not only the physical, but the mental, emotional and spiritual levels of the body. Guiomar uses various techniques
to help the client’s healing process, with the emphasis on Shiatsu and Acupuncture treatment along with aromatherapy
“grade A” therapeutic essential oils, energy medicine, reiki and thai massage.
Guiomar has conducted several lectures on natural health and nutrition, written over 50 articles about alternative medicine for Brazil News, a Portuguese language newspaper in Toronto, and become a health consultant in the Brazilian and Portuguese community.
For the past 8 years she has been practicing tantric healing which she believes is an art and spiritual path that has an impact on all aspects of our existence and is a dedicated practicioner of yoga and vipassana meditation.
Guiomar is also a dancer and musician, and has performed in Toronto since 1988 facilitating samba drumming and dance
workshops for adults and children including Harbourfront centre, public schools and University of Toronto as part
of World of Music Toronto.
